CDV Pair Of A Militia Engineer Officer, presumably a Massachusetts Volunteer Militia unit taken early in the war. The subject is not identified, only his insignia shows his branch in the militia. The image of this officer seated was photographed by Miller, Boston.
The vignetted image shows the officer in knapsack and other gear.
