Civil War Era 3rd Artillery Officer’s Bullion Cap Insignia. An original and nicely fashioned insignia for a 3rd Artillery officer. The gold and silver bullion (silver for the “3”) are evenly aged toned.
The black wool ground, having a few moth holes, measures 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
Overall a nice looking insignia that can beer restored easily if one pleases to.
