Early Indian War Dyer Pouch, Modified to wear on waist belt or Prairie Belt.

$275.00

Early Indian War Dyer Pouch, Modified to wear on waist belt or Prairie Belt. Intended for wear on the waist belt, but modified to wear on the Prairie belt. The belt loops were cut, and leather thongs were used to allow the loops to expand to fit over the wider cartridge belt. Likely done to carry either more ammunition for revolver, or carbine.

The pouch show a good amount of service use, with the embossed US in oval worn down. and some of the fleece lining has been thinning do to age.

A scarce modification.  Overall very good.
