Early National Lancers Coat & Vest Buttons. The larger button is backmarked, Robinsons Extra Rich and has most of the original gilt. The cuff button is backmarked, R & W.R. Extra Rich, (Richard & William Robinson – Circa late 1830’s 40’s about the time of the formation of the Lancers). I was told these buttons came from one of the officers of the Lancers, who also served during the Civil War. – his last name was Stewart (Stuart).
