$550.00

William McKinley Signed Commission for 2nd Lieutenant Stanley H. Ford – 1898. Gen. Ford began his military career on 1898, and joined his regiment, the 16th U.S. Infantry as a 2nd Lt.  The commission is boldly signed by President William McKinley, and Secretary of War, Russel Alexander Alger. At the top left is signed by Adjutant General Henry C. Corbin.

Some light wrinkling at the top with some light sporadic staining, overall great for framing. The bottom half inch  or so has been folded under and perhaps was framed at one time.

Complete, and fine for an important American Army officer who became a Lt. General in 1941.
