Police Badge from The 1893 Columbian Exposition
This stamped brass six-pointed starburst measures 3” point to point. From a round wreath centered on the badge a protruding head and beak of an eagle extends outward from the badge proper, approximately ¾” with a ½” ring mounted in the beak. Pin-backed, and numbered on the reverse, “2446.” The brass was always void of any gilt. Excellent condition.
