Invasion Of North Africa & Victory In Tunisia Souvenirs – 1942 -1943.
Thick brass badge with crossed American and British flags, with a blue/ white / red paint for French shield between the flags. An arch between the flags reads, “Nth AFRICA,” and below on the arch, ” 8 NOV (hand like figure) 1942. Made to commemorate “TORCH” the invasion of North Africa.
Pin back.
Hallmarked “DEPOSE.”
1-13/16” tall by 2-3/8” wide.
The 1943 dated “VICTORY SOUVENIR / TUNISIA” badge is cast brass. There is no pin attached to the back, and likely handed out like this, as there is no evidence of anything having been on the back.
1 15/16 inches high.
Both are in very good condition. Each one came from the same source, without any ID to soldier.
