Description
Liaison Pilot’s Name Plaque- WWII Era. Expertly done on birch wood panel, approximately 2.5 x 14 inches. It is decorated with an Waco glider, and crossed cannon artillery insignia. It names Lt. Edwin Noll as a Reconnaissance Officer. I believe he was a spotter for a glider borne field artillery unit who flew either an L-4 or 5 Liaison plane. This came from a lot of liaison wings, patches and photos from the Robert Borrell Artillery collection, but unfortunately found nothing to tie him to any of the insignia and other related material.
Excellent condition.
