M1874 Clothing Bag With Chambers Sling – Type 3. This clothing bag has two ID’ds on the cover but hard to make the top one out, the other extremely faint. The top ID looks like “McGown. The interior bag has the M1872 meat can pouch with strap held by an eagle general service button. Marking on the underside of the flap, “U.S. /Rock Island / Arsenal.” The back straps (3) with original brass buckles have been restored, as well as the closure straps with eyelets. The upper sling buckles and billets are original.
Comes with unused original Chambers Sling.
The U.S. marking is re-stenciled.
Great for reenacting or display.
