M1878 Haversack – reissued and having 1902 pattern sling.

M1878 Haversack – reissued and having 1902 pattern sling.  Flap having only the stenciled “U S,” with no other markings. The interior bag has been painted with light bluish-gray to hide previous user’s markings.

The russet sling shows a number of stampings,  (can’t tell is they are unit or equipment numbers).

Showing field use, and soiling, but very good.
