Super bullion work in different tones made by Ridabock & Co.
This 1895 officer’s garrison cap with gorgeous bullion work was a style worn by the states and regular army from 1895 to 1902. The cap sports the NY State seal with “EXCELSIOR” below the seal in bullion embroidered directly to the body of the cap. Made by Ridabock & Co. Formerly Baker & McKenney.
Condition wise, the cap is just super showing the slightest of wear. Light toning to the bullion insignia and chinstrap. Wool and mohair trim is just about new looking. New York state buttons used as well.
It would be difficult I think to find such a nice example easily.
