Model 1859 Cavalry Curb Bit – SOLD

Description

This untouched Model 1859 cavalry curb bit with brass “U.S” bosses has a great patina.  Completely unmarked.  I believe the size of the bit is No.3 with an port arch height of 1.5 inches (measuring from top mouth piece bar).

The standard issue federal bit which saw service well into the 1870s.
