Description
Model 1874 McKeever Cartridge Box Type 2. A very nice example inside and out. Holds 20 rounds of .45/70 ammunition. Type II’s retained the brass staples used to hold the sides and flap together. Stamped Watervliet Arsenal on the back of lower tab leather (the stamping is faint).
A standard and popular cartridge box used by the Government from 1874 and with slight modifications into the 20th C.
Fine-Excellent.
