Original Civil War 1st Army Corps Headquarters Badge

Original Civil War 1st Army Corps Headquarters Badge. Created by General Orders No. 2 on March 8, 1862. This badge contains the three colors representing the divisions of the Corps. Made of stamped tin, with enamel sections. A “T” bar pin is applied to the back for wear on either headgear or frock coat.

1 1/4 inches diameter.

The front side shows wear, crackling and scratching of enamel.
