Description
This pair of colone’s insignia came from the Richard Gimbel collection of WWII insignia; he himself an Army pilot in WWII (Gimbel’s Department Store chain family).
A match pair in Sterling, but not a natural pair, as one has different placement of Sterling stamp, and a bit more patina on one.
Very good-fine condition, with one missing the locking ring on catch. With the way the finish looks the insignia was used like this in the period.
Still a nice set of WWII colonel’s rank.
