Portrait Photos of Rear Admiral Albert S. Barker & The Destroyer They Named After Him. The nice large portrait of the admiral is 11×13.5 and taken when he was the Commander in Chief – North Atlantic Fleet aboard USS Kearsarge. The other smaller photo is the Clemson-Class destroyer USS Barker, name after him.  The Barker was commissioned on 27 December, 1919, and decommissioned just before the close of WWII, on July 18, 1945.   Large portrait by Miller, Brooklyn, NY.
