Description
CDV – 42nd New York Infantry Private in Frock Coat. This regiment had a great history, and although there is no ID to his fine image, the portrait of this private mostly likely served through many of these engagements; early battles of the war including Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and more.
His forage cap with company C letter is on the chair beside him.
