Description
88th Infantry Division DUI worn by troops stationed in Trieste just into the post war era. A scarce insignia with the “Blue Devil” prominent at center with “BLUE DEVIL DIVISION” above. Below that is an elongated American flag, with several sections of red enamel for stripes missing. At the bottom is the Trieste shield with banner reading, “FREE STATE OF TRIESTE.” The red enameled shield has a chip out of the lower left quadrant.
Hallmarked, “ART MILITARI…VDINE.”
32mm high.
Missing the pin and base, otherwise good -very good.
