Description
John W. Boody, enlisted into Co. “B” of the NH 2nd Infantry on May 5, 1861 and was discharged for disability on August of that year. He again enlisted into the 1st Massachusetts Heavy Artillery (first organized as the 14th Mass Infantry), on February 28, 1862, into Company “M”. He died of wounds from the battle of Spotsylvania CH June 16, 1864.
The CDV has no photographer backmark. Signed by Boody on the mount below the image. More writing on the reverse.
Fine condition.
Was part of a larger collection of 1st Mass HA at one time.
