Description
CDV – Admiral Farragut By Anthony.
Taken by E. & H.T. Anthony, New York in 1862.
David Farragut’s naval career began during the War of 1812, and continued until after the Civil War, attaining the rank of Full Admiral, the only admiral to attain that high rank. He is best known perhaps by his quote during the Battle of Mobile Bay, “Damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead.”
Very good condition.
