This chromolitho print showing the uniform of staff officers of the 10th regiment, NYSM, is similar to the U.S. regulation uniform, with their 1851 pattern shakos having very same insignia, although the feather plumes are a departure. This was part of a collection of plates from a volume that featured New York Militia uniform plates all from the 1850s.
Dated 1853, and published by Boetticher & Benecke, Broadway, NY City.
10.5 x 13.5 inches
Condition is very good with some light stains, soiling, but the main illustration is ideal for framing. Great reference.
