U.S. MARINE – Hand-tinted Photo 1873.  Pencil identified on the reverse. Can’t make out the name…“US Marines 1873 / Service onboard Minnesota, Pensacola, New Hampshire and others /..HMS Renown (British) / Enlisted at 18 years of age.”

Size is 7 inches by 9 inches.

The light cardboard it was tinted on is showing chipping along lower left edge and corner,

I don’t see a lot of marine images from this era.
