Description
This Centennial textile from the Philadelphia Exposition in 1876, is in near mint condition. These are historical textiles highly sought after by collectors and institutions. The bandanas are not necessarily rare, but usually not found in such condition.
With this example the color is striking in the deep red, and the lack of wear make up the desirable aspects of this piece not to mention the detail in the printed scenes from that centennial exposition.
The bandana is 27 inches square, approximately.
Flaws? I see a small ink stain about an 1/8 of an inch long, some minute soiling (there has to be some right!), and of course some folds ( and that easily remedied).
