6th Infantry Presentation Bronze Bookends.

The presentation is on the one bookend, at the base it reads, “PRESENTED BY THE OFFICERS OF THE THIRD BATTLE GROUP, SIXTH INFANTRY TO…(below on the flat) “LT. RONALD S. LISS / 4 JULY 1859 /BERLIN, GERMAN.”   Ronald Liss was an Orthopedic surgeon and retired from the Army after having served in the late 50’s through the Vietnam and Gulf Wars, and retired as a LtCol. in 2006.

The bookends take form in the the 6th Infantry’s distinct unit insignia.
