1874 Pattern Army Officer’s Belt Plate – Waterbury Button Co.

1874 Pattern Army Officer’s Belt Plate – Waterbury Button Co. Pattern Circa 1930, (See American Military Belt Plates, page 545, plate 919), having a gilt brass eagle, die struck and applied to plate using 4 screw fasteners.  This  example does not have silver wreath. Originally made by Gaunt, London, but this one marked “MADE IN USA.”  Waterbury Button Company purchased the American rights to the Gaunt name in the 1940s.
