Civil War Era U.S. Navy Officer’s Two-Piece Belt Plate – SOLD

Civil War Era U.S. Navy Officer’s Two-Piece Belt Plate.  This plate is very similar to the Navy General Service plate 1860-1900 – Plate 1001 on page 596 in American Military Belt Plates, by O’Donnell & Campbell. This pattern was used during the Civil War and after.  Each section of this plate is bench marked “18.”  No other markings.  Cast brass.
