1/8 Plate Tintype of Cavalryman in Slouch Hat armed with saber and revolver.  An 1/8 plate or CDV sized image that is truly super.

This trooper is wearing a shell jacket with all of the yellow piping tinted in the neatest manor, with the saber hilt, scabbard rings and mounts,  buttons, belt buckle and crossed saber insignia done in gilt. It appears the face and hands are done slightly. The saber has been drawn with the scabbard and saber knot visible as well.  The slouch hat may be a modifled Hardee hat, but not certain. Finally, he has his Whitney revolver tucked into his saber belt.

The gilt mats are fine, no case.  No ID.
