Description

1862 United States Navy Manifest of Cargo & Persons traveling from Portland, Maine to the South West pass of the Mississippi.

The three documents that are all attached to each other include:

a large (16″ x 19″) “List of Persons composing the crew of the BR Merrimac of Portland” that was embarking on this trip,
a manifest (14″ x 8.75″) of the cargo consisting of “four hundred and thirty four tons of coal” and
a “Navy Agent’s Office” document (5.25″ x 8″) detailing the voyage, signed by a Navy Agent.

All three documents are in very nice condition, have light wear along the edges, discoloration and markings are at a minimum and have little wear along the folds and creases in the documents.
