863 Model Remington Zouave Rifle.

Remington Zouave percussion rifle in.58 caliber, appears to be unissued, or hardly any use. It has a  bright bore, no visible primer residue around the cone/breech area. The barrel retains nearly all the original blue finish, with only a few thinning area on the surfaces overall.  The lock retains just about all the case colors. Bore is bright.

The walnut stock in in excellent plus condition with only the slightest rubs and dings and minor scratches. The brass furniture is excellent, with the bands appearing to have never been cleaned, the buttplate shows some poorly polished tang, but overall still shows the nice original finish.  The patch box has most of the original polished finish. The inner patch box contains its original spare nipple. Inspector cartouches are extremely clear. Very little room for improvement with this one. 

Mechanics, markings, edging around the lock and side panel are excellent.  This is a great example and not overpriced.
