Description
1902 General Officer’s Shoulder Epaulets In Tin.
This is a fine set of general officer’s epaulets of the 1902 pattern. No a great departure from the pattern that had existed back before the Civil War, but has had bullion eagle with the glory above it, in a circular shield. Each have single silver bullion stars for a brigadier general, and using the 1902 rimless eagle buttons.
Red velvet and Moroccan leather used on the under sides, and hallmarked with only a Queen’s Crown within a wreath. The gilt bullion fringe is in fine shape with hardly any wear showing.
The tin contain has no maker or owner’s name, and shows typical dings, scratches, etc, and a broken section from the latch. The interior still retains the bright reddish brown lacquer.
Great examples, priced to sell.
