Hard cover, illustrated with Civil War soldier,  Gold embossed ” For What He Was And All He Dared Remember Him Today,” Compliments Of The Department of Massachusetts Grand Army Of The Republic.”  The first 7 pages are GAR related; the rest of the book is purely guide book.

Inner flyleaf presentation to, “Edwin G. Lord / August 24, 1904″  / From / John C. Fowler / East Richmond / Va.”  Lord was a member of the 1st Mass Cavalry, enlisted in late September, and discharged for disability in late November of the same year.  Don’t have any information on Fowler.

Light wear to covers, nice tight copy.
