Description
1909 Hospital Bolo Made At Springfield Armory 1910, with scabbard marked “ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL /1916. T.C.C.”
The 13 3/4 inch blade is full length, in very good condition, bright with strong markings. Pitting on both sides of the blade in about the same area, otherwise retains a great deal of original polish. “S A (over) flaming bomb, 1910.” On the other side marked, “U.S. / 5292” serial number. Wood grips show use, but are very good.
The russet leather scabbard was made at R.I.A. and shows some light wear, with all stitching tight,
A nice example for a WWI hospital bolo.
