Description

1912 Pattern Cavalry Ration Bags / Knapsack.  An unissued set of canvas equipment designed for use by the cavalry, to be worn on saddle or affixed together and used as a knapsack for dismounted use.  No a popular item with cavalry, but were used by some troops of the Medical Corps during WWI. The dual packs made it much easier for medics to use for medical supplies and for personal use, as the 1910 knapsack was too awkward for their use.

This unit is un-issued and has all the straps, and endless amounts of leather tongs. Comes with original white condiment bag

Made by the “McKENNON DASH CO./ NOVEMBER 1918,’ with “U.S.” on both flaps.

Excellent condition, and about as good as they come. If you want the best!
