2 Medal Lot For Captain George T. Mahon, 23rd New York Engineers.
22nd N.G.N.Y. Engineer Officer’s Medals, Insignia & more belonging to Captain George T. Mahon, of Company “C,” New York Engineers. His career began in company C of the 22nd New York Infantry during the Spanish American War. He was 22 years of age when enlisting on May 9, 1898 at New York City, to serve for two years. He mustered in as a corporal, on the 24th of May, and later promoted to sergeant a few days later on the 31st. Mahon mustered out with his company at Fort Slocum, New York Harbor in November of that year.

- Boxed Bronze medal “For Long Service,” No. 271, and engraved, ” Capt. George F. Mahon, Sept. 24, 1903.” Made by Dieges & Clust.
