Description
Most likely Italian made, this super condition bullion patch for the 15th Army Air Force, makes for a great example to add to the collection of Army air forces stationed in the Italian/ Mediterranean theater.
3.5 inches high, constructed on canvas with a panel each of blue and golden yellow wool, then direct bullion applied. The bullion work is made up of different types of strands, with different degrees of toning, making for an interesting effect. This appears to have been on uniform originally.
