Description
This young boy is nicely posed for the camera with all of his military gear about him. He wears a Zouave uniform, with his chasseur cap in front of him; holding a bayoneted musket, and wearing a knapsack, and finally a full sized snare drum and sticks beside him.
The image is contained within a rather great faux oak grained oval frame.
Frame is 14.5 inches approximately, and the image is about 9 inches, some hidden by a paper and gilt mat.
Portrait is fine, and the frame has some chipping, but overall very nice, and repairable.
A great image, in a great size from the Civil War period.
