Description

Albany Burgess Corps Capt Spelman’s Quick Step 1858.  The Albany Burgess Corps was organized in 1833, in the state of New York. This cover for the sheet music of Capt. Spelman’s Quick Step shows the dress uniform of this unit wearing red coatees and their tall bearskin busbies.

The music was composed by D.L. Downing, and published by J.H. Hidley, Broadway, Albany, New York. This has just the cover only.

Color is great, condition is very good with roughness along the left margin were it was removed from a sheet music album.  Another nice example of American sheet music covers, and great militia uniform reference.
