A matching pair, of scarce BB& B colonel’s eagles.
This matching pair of Bailey, Banks and Biddle colonel’s eagles came together in an old type display case with foam padding which caused the build-up on the pins, hinge and catches. The “BBB CO / SILVER” markings are struck in different locations, and most likely this officer had several sets that get mixed over the years.
The condition is excellent, one of these have a bit more patina than the other.
48mm wing span.
I have no history as to the officer who wore this unfortunately.
A great pair of Interwar-WWII eagles.
