“To James A.Glenn, Chico, Calif.   And once a boy. Come to your place with a plow to be fired with a tooth ache, and you had sympathy & was sociable & kind & he always remembered yours kindley –  Geo. W. Schee    Primghar. Nov. 09”

Glenn enlisted into company “B” 100 Pennsylvania Infantry an participated in the battles of Wilderness, Spottsylvania, Weldon RR, and discharged in July of 1865. He settled in O’Brien Co. in 1872, and later moved to Chico, California and a member of Halleck Post No. 19, Chico, Cal.
