This badge was made under state contract in bronze by The HAYES BROTHERS CO., NEWARK, N.J.
A First Class badge was made for the regular army in 1913 in silver, but never authorized a 2nd Class badge for troops.
The states made these for issue to their troops, for poorer scoring cavalry pistol shots.
The box and badge is fine -excellent condition.
About the best condition possible.
