Description
The badge is cased in a leatherette case with gilt edge embossing, and lined in white silk and velvet. The badge reads, “For Voluntary War Work In Indian, 1914-18.” The bronze metal has a subdued blackened finish, with a silver finish insert with a geometric-floral. The pin is typical of English made insignia, and has an open catch.
Condition is fine, badge and case. A maker’s mark is lightly stamped into the lid of the case, but difficult to make out. The badge sets in a recessed bed.
