CDV of 2nd Lieutenant Robert Pennick King, Jr – 15th U.S. Infantry.  King originally enlisted as a private in May of 1861, then commissioned a 1st Lt.m but his appointment was negated by the US Senate.  3 days later he is mustered into the 19th Penn. Vols. and mustered out 3 months later.  On October 30, 1861, Kings was again commissioned into the 15th U.S. with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He resigned in January of 1865.  He saw a good deal of action being part of the Regular Brigade of the Army of the Cumberland.
