Civil War 1st Lieutenant’s Artillery Straps, made with brass hooks at each corner for easy attaching – detaching ability. Oversized by a half inch beyond regulation, and backed in red cotton.
The gilt borders are fine and retain fine color/ and age patina, and the red wool fields are very good + with just a few minor moth holes.
No history on these.
A nice pair of artillery straps.
