Civil War Staff Officer’s Bullion Cap Insignia. This original cap insignia for an officer of the General Staff and Staff Corps, has a gold bullion wreath sewn to a black wool ground. The “U.S.” is in silver bullion.

The bullion show toning, but in fine shape. There is some mothing to the left side and a little more on other areas of the outer border.

About half of the original paper backing remains.

Overall in very good to fine condition.
