Early Frontiersman’s – Native American Flint Striker & Hide Sack.

$325.00

Early Frontiersman’s – Native American Flint Striker & Hide Sack.  This could also have been a combo tool with a sharped edge at the narrow end, for use as a screwdriver to take off lockplate screws, etc. The iron striker is 3 1/4 inches long. Holed for easier handling. A scribe line of 1/8 of an inch can be seen toward the narrow edge.

The hide bag, likely deer hide is nearly 6 inches long,  some stitching is broken away on both side about an inch or more. It must have had some type of hide tie for sealing. Nice old wear, and soiling on surfaces.

A nice tool for display in an early western collection.,
