Early Model 1874 Waist Belt with 1872 Hagner Plate. This is one I have not encountered before, with the original 1872 belt plate sewn into place, and the keeper with the adjustment side with two of its original leather slides, and early style adjustment hook, which is the middle version of the flat Civil War type and the later rounded most commonly seen in the Indian War era.
The buckle is in spectacular condition and matches the keeper, bright and clean. The leather shows some dryness, and chipping but untouched! The keeper has a bench number, while the buckle does not. I have looked closely for any markings on the leather, but there are none.
A great early belt, and about the best conditioned buckle you could hope to find.
