Description

Grand Army of the Republic Veteran’s Cap Insignia.

Construction is black velvet wrapped around an oval cardboard plate, gathered and sewn. The gilt wreath with applied GAR, and silver numerals held in place by their attached brass wire.

This GAR post 11 location is not known, nor the veteran who wore it.

Fine condition.
