Prior to that the radio stations were mobile and moved northward with the Allied Armies, having first been in operation in North Africa (Casablanca) and in Naples.
The patch is hand stitched in gold bullion on a dark blue wool background. The background is a yellow cotton.
The height is 2 1/2 inches and is in fine condition with some light wear, and a few small areas of bullion loss on the border.
A very desirable WWII theater made patch.
