Description
This lot of three documents were issued late in WWII, 2 of which relate to translating and using certain key words in the field; being able to read them, and pronounce them. Also included is a Joint Army & Navy Sighting Guide for identifying Japanese ships and aircraft.
- War Department Pamphlet No. 21-32 ENGLISH – JAPANESE PHRASE CARD, MAY 1945. Pocket size with three folds, having key words for use in the field with the enemy. very good with some soiling.
- Small pocket / billfold sheet with needed words for field purposes for use with the enemy; words like Surrender, halt, come forward, kill you, etc.2 3/4 x 4 3/8 inches. fine condition.
- JOINT ARMY – NAVY SIGHTING GUIDE, 4 illustrated pages published in Dec. of 1944. Shows Japanese Carriers, down to the small warships, freighters, transports, and Japanese aircraft. 7 x 10 inches. very good condition with some light soiling and as glue residue from being in a scrapbook at one time.
Have not seen these before. Great display pieces.
