Description
Large Cabinet of a Military Bicycle Troop C- 1890. This large cabinet photograph came framed, and I was told it came out of Worcester, Mass. A mat is placed over the image (no mat showing). I have not taken the backing off, and have no other details other than what the image illustrates.
The scene of this bicycle troop was taken on “Main Street” sign on tree), and shows a troop of cyclist with full gear on their bikes. The period is circa 1880s, and that date coming from the use of the 1880 pattern summer helmets that are worn by this unit.
If the back of the photo yields more information, that is a bonus for you.
Period framing, 13 x 16 approx. overall, image size 8 x 9.
